I was highly disappointed when I read this book series. It started so promisingly!!! Why, why, WHY did it have to go down hill?!?!
The book series Pages and Co. had such a promising start! But it went downhill fast. The idea of a certain group of people who can travel into books is fun, imaginative, and sounds like a promising series full of friendship and books. Seriously WHAT COULD BE BETTER!!??!? Well, that’s how it sounded. When you read the back of the first book of the Pages and Co. series (The Bookwanderers) it sounds incredible, and plus it’s a whole series! Double win!!! 💃🏼 But no. The first book was…ok (look at the review to see my thoughts in detail). The fact that Tilly’s mom had a child with Captain Crew (A Little Princess) was odd, and made it a less enjoyable read. Also the fact that a character’s parents were divorced, and that was thought to be “normal.” 😒 The second book (Tilly and the Lost FairyTales) got worse. Tilly gets rebellious and it is not pointed out directly as a bad thing. There is conflicting views on things happening in the world of bookwanderers, and it is even more of an uncomfortable read than the first book. Then it ends on a cliffhanger. I am not normally opposed to books ending on a cliffhanger (Unless its a bad cliffhanger, and there is not a follow up book) . It is a way of keeping your readers engaged, and on the edge of their seats. However when I got the next book (Tilly and the Map of Stories) an unforgivable thing happened. There was an extremely inappropriate relationship that made it impossible to continue reading. 😣 The book started promising and sloooowly went down hill. The first two books are ok with guidance, but I don’t recommend them because the second one ends on a cliffhanger. In short DON’T READ THIS BOOK!
